Who We Are?

We are young women who believe in gender equality. We fight against menstrual poverty and taboo culture on this issue!

Hello!

We are İlayda Eskitaşçıoğlu and Bahar Aldanmaz. We say "we need to talk" and we challenge taboos! In fact, our story is based on coincidences. We Need to Talk was founded in 2017 by Ilayda Eskitaşçıoğlu. The project, which started with humble and small-scale fieldwork, made a new start with the participation of Bahar and grew steadily. As two young women believing in gender equality, we met and started to work online by chance. Of course, we should not forget our donors, sponsors and volunteer team working in field studies. Thanks to them, today we reach thousands of girls and women with large-scale field projects.
